A Spanish Holiday

So for spring holidays I traveled to Barcelona (in Spain)! In Barcelona are many things to see, such as buildings (and one park) built by the famous architect Gaudi, a museum of Picasso paintings and sketches, beaches, sunny weather, good food, food markets, parks, the Spanish Arc de Triumf, magical fountains, churches (one designed by Gaudi), etc. These things we took full advantage of while in Barcelona. I went with Ben and we met his sister Bonnie and her boyfriend Steve who flew all the way from Indiana to spend time with us in Spain. It was a much needed break from teaching to revive our spirits, and get the opportunity to see another culture. The pictures that follow are from this trip, so enjoy and pretend you were there with us!

A Gaudi building.

Trying to see what Columbus is pointing at. I never did find it. Or maybe I did.

A rock taking my picture.

In front of Gaudi's church, at night.

Imitating the happy lobster.

In Gaudi's park.

Steve, Bonnie, Ben and I overlooking Barcelona.

And on the beach, about an hour outside Barcelona.

The palace-turned-art museum.

Same building, but at night, with the magic fountains ablaze.

A promenade along the beach in Barcelona.

On top of one Gaudi building with another Gaudi building in the background.

Our group in front of a famous Gaudi building (they were everywhere!)
