Christmas time!
So two events are depicted in these pictures below. First is Christmas shopping in Prague on Old Town Square and walking through Prague Castle at night.
And last is the night before Christmas shopping in Pribram. There was another dance, and Kass came down for it. So most all the students, when they reach a certain age, take ballroom dancing lessons, learning the waltz, cha-cha, etc. At the end of this class they have a big dance to show their family and friends what they have learned and giving everyone a chance to brush up on their dancing. Us Americans didn't have much to brush up on seeing as we don't really know how to dance, but we did have fun learning some new steps and trying to follow my students twirling around the dance floor.

Ples
So the majority of the pictures from this batch below are from the Nad Aleji Ples. A ples is little like a prom, and this one was held by the school of our friends, Amy and Kass. It involves a lot of traditional ballroom dancing, for an American they are very much like something out of the 1800's or a Jane Austen book. But they are certainly a lot of fun.

Berlin and Cows
The pictures below are from two trips, one to Berlin and one to a cow barn. I went with Ben and Kass to Berlin and Pavla and some students to the cow barn. Berlin was surprisingly nice, and we learned a valuable lesson, Berlin cannot be conquered in a day. We only had a day and a half there and we were nowhere near seeing/doing everthing we wanted to. And we found a restaurant that serves the best Mexican food we have yet found here in Europe.
The trip to the cow barn was, well, smelly. But it provided a nice time to get to know some other students that I do not teach.
